See the vessel with HD IVUS

Get inside knowledge of coronary arteries with state-of-the art imaging

No more flying blind outside the arterial walls. Unlike coronary angiography, intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) gives you inside knowledge of coronary arteries. Assess plaque type and severity with PCI guidance tools that eliminate guesswork. The result: clearer treatment decisions, fewer future complications, and the best long-term outcomes.

ACC imaging recommendations

As part of a state-of-the-art review article from February 2023, The American College of Cardiology (ACC) Interventional Council released the recommendation that all cardiac cath labs should have imaging capabilities. The review proposes best practices and advocates for broader use of IVI technologies as a part of PCI best practice.

IVUS imaging

  • Superior HD IVUS image quality enables user to clearly see disease
  • Flexible catheter in 2 sizes (5F and 6F) to assist in more PCI procedures
  • Use during procedure planning, stent placement, and post- procedure

Clinical data: The importance of IVUS and physiology-guided procedures

SYNTAX II offers significant improvement in long-term outcomes:

The SYNTAX II1 clinical trial is a landmark study proving that IVUS guidance of coronary arteries and Modern PCI techniques give statistically significant improvement in long-term outcomes, leading to better treatment decisions and a reduction in rates of revascularization, peri-procedural MI, and acute ST.

IVUS guidance lowers MACE post-procedure:

Clinical studies reveal that IVUS-guidance led to the use of larger stents, more post-dilation, additional stenting, or higher pressures in patients, resulting in lower rates of ST, MI, and TLR. Using IVUS vs coronary angiography alone leads to a statistically significant difference in MACE three years post-procedure.

Measuring FFR reduces long-term MI likelihood:

The FAME I & II trials show that using FFR led to statistically significant reduction of cardiac death or MI at 5 years compared to coronary angiography. Measuring FFR can also help identify those for whom the treatment is most appropriate, and lower costs.
